Not Just a Cat: Translating Presence Into Abstraction

For this abstract cat tattoo concept, my starting point was its presence. I wanted to explore how that feeling could become a visual language.

Abstraction lets me move away from a literal portrait and focus on emotion, movement and form. The reference remains part of the idea, but the composition has room to develop in its own direction.

That shift matters to me. A familiar subject can become something personal through the way it is interpreted, rather than through recognisable detail alone.

Not Just a Cat is a study in that approach: translating a presence into a composition that feels connected to the person and the body.
