Following the Leg: A Body Flow Concept

A long placement changes how an abstract composition can travel. In this leg concept, the smoke-like form follows the length and curves of the body, shifting between narrow lines and more open shapes.

The spaces between those shapes are part of the design. They allow the composition to breathe and help the eye follow its direction without turning the whole leg into a solid block.

This is a body flow concept from the Selected Canvas Project, shown as a study rather than a claim of a completed tattoo. My custom abstract tattoo work in Melbourne explores how a design can be shaped around the individual body.

The length of the leg gives brushstroke flow room to stretch, changing scale as it follows the placement.
