Butterflies in Ink: Four Abstract Studies

Four butterfly studies explore the space between a recognisable shape and an expressive ink mark.

These drawings use broken edges, flowing strokes and open space to suggest wings in motion. Each butterfly takes a different direction, keeping the collection connected without repeating the same silhouette.

These butterfly studies use brushstroke flow to loosen the wings, keeping the silhouette recognisable while letting the ink marks stay expressive.
